What are the Nikah Service requirements:

  • A valid marriage license from your local city (see the below links how to obtain it.)
  • The presence of the Bride’ Waly.
  • Two witnesses.
  • The agreement in principles on “Maher” dowry between the two parties.

Steps For Nikkah Services

In Islam, the marriage contract is called a Nikkah. Women in Arabia were regarded as second-class citizens prior to the arrival of Islam. Fathers and husbands viewed their wives and daughters as property. Even in matters of life and death, they were denied the right to own property or vote.
In Islam, women are given freedom over their affairs. That is especially true with marriage, as Nikkah grants women authority and rights that were previously unavailable to them. Here are the steps involved, which AIFS provides for Nikkah services.
1 - Perform The Officiation of The Nikkah
The possibility of a marriage between the parties concerned needs to be determined. The couple must meet the necessary criteria to prove that it is legal and legitimate in the Nikkah. While it is allowed for Muslim men to marry women from the People of the Book, both partners must be Muslims. The legal age of consent for both persons must also be determined. Marriage cannot be based on force.

Creating The Contract For Marriage
An official, verified document is drafted. The vital information, such as the names and other recognized characteristics of the bride and groom, is included in this document. The paper also contains the names and contact information of the witnesses and the bride’s guardian. Among the supplementary details included in the contract is the sum that must be provided to the bride as haq meher. Neither a sadqah nor a gift qualifies as haq meher. As the name implies, a bride’s right to a certain amount is called haq meher. The groom must pay the haq meher quickly. It is up to the bride to decide whether or not to accept haq meher. After the paperwork has been carefully examined and edited, the next step is to obtain the bride, groom, and witnesses’ signatures to indicate their consent.
